Later this year, the European Space Agency hopes to find a place to land on the surface of the comet. During the next few days, Rosetta will analyze and map the surface of the Comet and try to find the best possible approach.

The Philae probe, three legs, should be thrown to the surface in November and will have to get a good grip to Comet, since this does not present a strong gravitational field. The Philae will collect physical samples, while trying to investigate the composition and structure of the comet.

At the same time, it is expected that Rosetta can send photographs taken by Philae.

The detailed analysis the comets as the 67P via allow get an idea of how the Earth was formed, where does the entire solar system and what the primordial matter that constituted the solar system at the beginning.
